Long Term or Short Term?

I think my topic, "The Cult of the Offensive," is a long term cause of World War I because it was the basis for most countries' strategy throughout the entire war.

Noah, we need much more detail on this, HW 6; please clearly label it as HW 6.

Right now it's a 6 out of 10.

With all the work you did on your research, you could give a much better explanation.

Was the Cult of the Offensive a short-term cause, because it led to Mobilization PLans that couldn't be stopped, and scared Germany into enacting the Schlieffen Plan because they felt they HAD to strike first?

OR

Was it a long-term cause that grew over 10-20 years and led to the development of big battle plans like the Schlieffen Plan?

YOU tell ME based on what you've researched!

Thanks,

Mr. B
